Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Pre-Suit Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. This position supports the attorney and clients by managing personal injury cases during the pre-suit phase. Ideal candidates are organized, communicative, and experienced in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of personal injury claims from retainer through settlement
Maintain regular client communication throughout the pre-suit process
Review and organize medical records, police reports, and insurance documents
Draft and send demand letters to insurance carriers
Coordinate medical treatment and communicate with providers regarding records, billing, and liens
Maintain accurate case files using case management software
Prepare settlement statements and closing documents
Track deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on case tasks
Support the team attorney and contribute to team efficiency
Qualifications
2 or more years of experience in personal injury law, specifically in a pre-suit role
Familiarity with case management systems such as Needles, SmartAdvocate, or Filevine
Strong knowledge of the personal injury claim process, including communication with insurance adjusters and medical providers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay organized
High attention to detail
