Parking Ambassador Recruitment Range:
$19.72-$22.93 hourly dependent on knowledge and experience
- This position works outside most of the time monitoring the City of Pensacola parking lots/spaces/meters
- Hours and days will be set upon hiring due to position being filled for a 24hr. 7day a week operation
- Responsible for patrolling assigned area(s) by vehicle or on foot to ensure public compliance with parking ordinance(s) and issuing citations for overtime parking violators and illegally parked vehicles.
Maintain communication with Parking Supervisor regarding conditions of parking areas and parking equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Necessary Special Requirements:
Possession of an appropriate driver license for equipment operated and any license, training or certification required by law or regulation to complete assigned tasks
Certified FDLE parking training completion or willingness and ability to obtain certification as a parking ambassador. Minimum of sixteen (16) hours in classroom training from a program approved by the Pensacola Downtown Parking Management District (DPMD), following by a minimum of eight (8) hour supervised field training, followed by five (5) days field training shadowing an established Parking Ambassador
Possession of a valid driver license for the State of Florida, or ability to obtain one within 30 days. Must have at least 2+ years licensed driving experience.
