$38.3K – $48.5K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Department Transportation & Parking Services Responsibilities This position will enforce University traffic and parking rules and regulations. Responsible for the supervision, guidance, motivation, training, and evaluation of the Campus Parking Patrollers. Provides assistance and backup to campus parking patrollers as needed. This position has the authority to issue citations, administer vehicle immobilizations, and initiate vehicle tows. Participates in after hours on call detail. Responsible for gathering and reporting pertinent data collection in regard to the number of parking spaces on campus, citations issued by Patrollers, budget awareness, and controls. Responsible for working and coordinating with the Special Events coordinator to ensure proper coverage for special events. Monitors, controls, and ensures that enough coverage is provided during the special events. Acts as liaison with other departments concerning street closures, parking lot closures, etc. that will affect the department in any manner. Responsible for ensuring the operational status and inventory of tools and equipment. This includes but is not limited to uniforms, citation issuing, devices, vehicles, safety equipment, and radios. Communicates with the director concerning vehicle maintenance needs, coordination of staff needed during peak periods or special events, reports safety hazards, and maintenance needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma/equivalency and one year of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to one year. Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Preferred Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
