Position Description The position is a weekly 16 hours per week, part-time position. This position is dedicated to parking enforcement responsibilities. This position will work Monday through Thursday, 8am – 12 pm. Position Responsibilities

  • Parking Enforcement (75%) Patrol assigned areas of campus to monitor compliance with parking regulations.

Issue citations for parking violations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Identify and document vehicles in violation of multiple offenses, including scofflaw cases; coordinate with towing services when necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely records of citations, incidents, and enforcement activities.
Respond to questions or concerns from the campus community regarding parking regulations and provide information or guidance as needed.

  • Traffic Control and Event Support (15%)
    Assist in managing vehicle and pedestrian traffic during campus events, construction, emergencies, or other situations that require traffic direction.
    Set up and remove temporary signage, cones, and barriers to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow.
    Communicate with event organizers and campus safety personnel to anticipate and address traffic-related needs.
  • Additional Duties (10%)
    Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to stay current with institutional policies, safety protocols, and enforcement procedures.

Assist with administrative tasks or special assignments related to the Public Safety Department.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the operational goals of the department and contribute to a safe, orderly campus environment.

Status :

Staff, part-time, hourly, non-exempt, 16 hours per week, Monday through Thursday (8am – 12pm), 12 months per year. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; strong and consistent work history preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and minimum of one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to drive safely in low-light and adverse weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of parking regulations and traffic control procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and interact respectfully with the public and colleagues.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, including criminal records
  • Ability to perform essential duties, including: Sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods
    Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
    Using vision (close, distance, depth perception), hearing, and speaking clearly
