It serves the local community by providing essential public services and managing administrative operations. Job Summary A Parking Enforcement Officer of Millbourne Borough patrols assigned areas for parking violations, issues citations, provides basic information and assistance to the public, performs traffic control duties, responds to complaints and accidents, prepares and maintains records and reports, and performs other related tasks as assigned. The Parking Enforcement Officer reports to the Borough Manager and the Police Secretary. Parking Enforcement Officers may be required to testify in Magisterial District Court, or the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County related to citations issued. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with local parking laws and ordinances. Issue citations for violations. Provide a visible presence in high traffic areas with daily interactions with business owners and the public. Effectively and courteously communicate and maintain a positive public image. Attend and testify in support of citations issued and litigated in Magisterial District Court or the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Requirements Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be able to write clear and legible. Must be able to withstand long periods of walking and standing outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to hot and cold. Must be able to effectively and courteously communicate with residents, business owners, and official. Must be dependable and self-motivating with the ability to work alone. Wear a uniform and maintain a neat, professional appearance. Must, with reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
