Call Human Resources for more information at 601-351-8020 About the Position Entry level sworn law enforcement position is entry level technical work in which officers are responsible for patrolling and enforcing relevant laws within their jurisdiction. Work is performed under direct supervision of law enforcement staff/personnel of higher classifications. What you’ll need to be Successful Successful candidates must have a good attitude, be ready and willing to learn and grow, have strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires possession of a State of Mississippi Law Enforcement Professional Certification within six months of hire. By law, certain Cadets are classified as non-state service until certification is obtained.
