The Transfer Superior Court Case Manager is a Juvenile Court Counselor classification which enjoys annual salary increases with a step pay plan! Your initial salary is based on your total months of related education and experience above the minimum requirements (related Bachelor’s degree and 24 months or equivalent combination of education and experience). As you gain related experience, not only will your pay continue to increase, but you may qualify for promotional opportunities as well. Work for these positions includes:

Serve as a regional case manager for youth whose legal case has been transferred to Superior Court (TSC) Coordinate appointments (court, medical, mental health, etc.) for youth on caseload Ensure transportation to and from court, and for release including but not limited to bond outs. Track courts dates, conditions of release, and ensure DJJ compliance with court orders and confinement. Monitor activities and progress during stay in juvenile facility including monitoring young person’s family and professional contacts Communicate with multi-disciplinary professionals to include, but not limited to, facility staff, directors/managers, court services staff, medical and mental health clinicians, education staff, transportation staff, legal/court personnel, etc. Serve as point of contact for families/guardians of youth on caseload Handle facility related supports such as telephone call lists, visitation lists Coordinate consent processes with the family for medical, mental health related needs Attend Court Hearings, when possible, to provide support to the young person and their family Provide in person check in meetings with the young person at the facility based on a schedule as identified by the Facilities Implementation Manager Provide updates on youths’ status during supervision with the Facilities Implementation Manager Maintaining extensive court records and documentation in a statewide online juvenile database Work for these positions requires the ability to: Analyze facts and opinions objectively and impartially in evaluating situations and developing plans of action This position will require frequent travel to juvenile facilities, provide transportation and supervision for juveniles to and from required destinations, and may require overnight travel. Western Region Area:

Coverage for Alexander Det, Cabarrus YDC, Cabarrus Det, Madison Det. Valid North Carolina driver’s license is required for this position. Must successfully complete Criminal Justice Certification requirements.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, however, candidates must be able to work on-call hours, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis and be able to work a variable work schedule to meet the needs of juveniles and their families.
