Job Summary:
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Able to acquire LEDS and CIS certification
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required
- Able to pass and maintain DPSST Certification and firearms certification
Job Duties:
- Arrest, detain, search, and transport offenders.
- Provide investigative services regarding offenders placed in the community by releasing authorities.
- Make court appearances and provides testimony.
- Conduct assessments to determine offender risk/needs and case planning.
- Maintain chronological case histories.
- Monitor offender compliance and progress.
- Collect urine samples for testing.
- Visit offenders in home and in the field.
- Transport offenders.
- Coordinate treatment, housing, and community resources to assist offenders.
- Prepare legal documents and provide court testimony.
- Act as liaison with the public, Parole Board, LSA, FTO, law enforcement, and other agencies.
- Provide community education and interacts with community partners and other law enforcement.
- Coordinate treatment and community referrals for services.
- Trains other Probation Officers (PTO) as needed.
- Enter offender data through the statewide CIS/OMS system.
- Maintain accurate and complete case files.
- Prepare reports.

$29.76 to $40.02 per Hour

Lincoln County offers a comprehensive benefit package including vacation, holiday, and sick leave as well as medical, dental, vision which is paid at 90% by the County and 10% by the employee. Other fully paid benefits include life, AD& D, long-term disability insurance. Other optional insurances are available. A 401K retirement plan is also provided. The County’s current contribution rate is 11%. Regular and Trial Service employees working between 20 and 39 hours per week on a regular basis are eligible for pro-rated employee benefits.
