JobDescriptionAlbemarle is hiring for a Manager Regulatory Affairs,Europe. This position is located in Louvain-La-Neuve/ Brussels(Hybrid).

Key Summary of Role:

The Regulatory Affairs Manager, Europewill work on all regulatory initiatives of relevance for Albemarle,reporting to the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, Europe andin coordination with other relevant functions across the company.

The Manager will work from home at least 4 days per week, and willbe part of the External Affairs team based in Belgium.

What You WillDo Support the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, Europe indeveloping the overall strategy of the company on EU regulatorymatters for lithium and bromine products. Provide inputs to the global regulatory strategy of thecompany. Take the lead on individual regulatory initiatives andprojects: develop the company position and the regulatory/advocacystrategy, in coordination with the external affairs team. Take the lead/support work on REACH revision, CLP, OSH,Industrial Emissions Directive, Circular Economy Package, WaterFramework Directive, ESPR. Participate/lead meetings with external stakeholders andregulators. Represent Albemarle in regulatory working groups of differenttrade associations. Support internal communication to other departments across theglobe.

What You BringRequired:

Master degree in relevant field: chemistry, chemicalengineering, environmental science. At least 5 years of experience, preferably in a Brussels-basedmultinational company, trade association, EU institution, NGO. Working language is English. Relevant experience on REACH, CLP, eco-design and/or circulareconomy. Experience in providing counsel and timely information,directed at business leaders. Background in chemicals, raw materials industry or otherrelevant sectors.

Preferred:

Knowledge of another European language would be anadvantage. Experience in project management would be an advantage.
