Lookingfor an experienced EHS professional to lead the Health and Safetydepartment to ensure the site is achieving its objectives. Thisposition will work with the Corporate EHS team and OperationsLeaders at the site to develop and implement improvement plans thatwill improve culture while reducing overall health and safetyrisk.

You will have the opportunity to:

Lead the site industrialhygiene program by leading a comprehensive sampling strategy toprotect worker health, safety and the environment.

Assist facilityleadership with the execution of beryllium exposure reductionprograms, policies, procedures and regulations.

Develop and assistin the execution of the EHS long range improvement plans andprovide council and leadership to site strategic and tactical EHSteams on industrial hygiene, exposure assessment and berylliumexposure mitigation.

Responsible for assisting the facility incomplying with all other aspects of health and safety includingergonomics, noise exposure, indoor air quality and ventilationcontrols. Understands the basic tenets of ventilation and airpollution control device design, parametric monitoring andoperation. Prepares and delivers detailed reports and findingsrelated to program specifics to all levels of the organization.

Workdirectly with Corp. EHS and Product Stewardship groups tofacilitate change and improvements regarding the site industrialhygiene and safety goals.

Monitor technology advancements andpotential for improvement in performance for programs ofresponsibility.

Ensure site is in compliance with all Materion andregulatory health and safety requirements.

Maintain current effortsand drive improvement in EHS related topics.

Help site efforts toincorporate human and organizational performance.

REQUIREMENTS
Required:

BS in an EHS field and 10+ years ofexperience or a Masters degree and 4 years of experience.

Preferred:

A MS degree in a relevant EHS field

Required:

Experience designingand implementing control strategies in alignment with bestpractices. Also includes experience assessing and understandingoccupational safety in a metals manufacturing environmentpreferred.

Years of Experience:

5+ for MS and 10+ with a

BSRequired:

Knowledge of all relevant industrial hygiene regulationsDevelopspolicies and procedures based on OSHA regulatory requirements andcorporate guidelines.

Makes recommendations to improve BerylliumManagement Plan performance based on interpretations andprofessional practices.

Proficient in data verification,correlation, and preparation of EHS reportsPerforms calculations,data entry, data analysis, field monitoring and report writing.

Actsa technical advisor to a number of Performance Materialslocations.

Develops and conducts training.

HPThe selection of theperson to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidatehaving export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlledtechnology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S.Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations(ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR).The candidate selected will have to qualify aseither a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent residentof the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee orRefugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited fromhaving access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter ofassurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by thegoverning agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
