Exempt SUMMARY As the Corporate Director of Environmental Health and Safety, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, minimize risks, and promote a culture of safety across our organization. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting the safe operation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and maintaining the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. This position requires frequent domestic travel, estimated at approximately 25%, though actual travel may vary based on business needs. Occasional International travel may also be required based on business needs.

R ESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. Develop and implement an effective environmental health and safety (EHS) program, policies, and procedures in alignment with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and company goals. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to senior management and employees on EHS matters, fostering a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues, and develop and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, including waste management, pollution prevention, and hazardous materials handling. Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs to educate employees on safe work practices, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into product design, development, and manufacturing processes. Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders to stay informed about emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices. Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and progress towards EHS goals. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence. Manage the company’s EHS documentation, records, permits, and reporting requirements. Stay up-to-date with advancements in UAS technology and industry-specific EHS considerations. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with customer-specific EHS requirements and support business development efforts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by establishing and monitoring EHS performance indicators and implementing initiatives to drive progress.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree and relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are highly desirable. Extensive experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in the aerospace or UAS industry. In-depth knowledge of applicable EHS regulations, standards, and best practices. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs and policies. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex EHS concepts to diverse audiences. Proven experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using EHS management systems, software, and tools. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
