Safety Team Lead (Manfacturing) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Madison, AL 35756 Job Overview Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to oversee our production team and ensure efficient operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties Lead and supervise a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Conduct regular training sessions for team members on manufacturing processes, safety practices, and equipment operation. Implement root cause analysis techniques to identify issues in production processes and develop effective solutions. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and ensure all team members are aware of safety procedures. Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, safety incidents, and team performance for management review. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance overall productivity. Oversee the fabrication of products according to specifications, ensuring quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Manage workers’ compensation claims as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous leadership or supervisory roles preferred. Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) practices and principles is essential. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous; certification is preferred. Strong skills in report writing, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Understanding of workers’ compensation law and procedures is beneficial. Experience in training development is a plus, enabling effective onboarding of new team members.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$18.00 – $20.10 per hour

Schedule:

10 hour shift Day shift Night shift Weekends as needed
