Safety Manager 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Mobile, AL 36604 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing training programs, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. This role is crucial in minimizing risks and promoting occupational health standards across all operations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including EPA standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with Occupational Health guidelines. Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents and accidents to determine underlying issues and implement corrective actions. Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Manage workers’ compensation claims and ensure adherence to workers’ compensation law. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. Fabricate safety equipment or tools as necessary to enhance workplace safety. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety (EHS). Qualifications Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, OSHA standards, and workers’ compensation laws. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with experience in conducting root cause analysis. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees at all levels. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while fostering a positive safety culture.
