Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is looking for a hands-on, adaptable, and forward-thinking Safety Manager who can thrive in an unconventional environment. If you’re eager, long-term minded, and excited about the challenge of bringing structure and clarity to gray areas, this could be the perfect fit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments in agricultural environments, including confined spaces like chicken houses.

Develop and implement practical safety talks, programs, and training sessions tailored to field conditions.

Plan, lead, and execute monthly company-wide safety meetings.

Maintain and improve documentation processes, including incident reports, SOPs, and best practices.

Serve as both a proactive safety leader ensuring compliance and proper documentation without sacrificing real-world functionality.

Collaborate with leadership and field teams to solve problems and implement safety improvements that go beyond “checking the box.”Provide bilingual communication support during incidents (preferred), or coordinate with translators as needed.

Travel frequently to various sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. OR equivalent practical experience in safety management, especially in agriculture or manufacturing environments.

Experience with incident documentation, SOP development, and safety audits.

Bilingual English and Spanish are highly preferred. If not, must be willing to work closely with a translator.

Licensing (preferred but not required):

OSHA 30 or 40

Hour CertificationCertified Safety Professional or Construction Health and Safety TechnicianSkills:

Strong planning and execution skillsDetail-oriented with solid documentation and organizational skills.
