Summary We are seeking a Safety Director to join our team at Whiting Systems, Inc. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Safety Director will oversee all safety programs and initiatives to protect our employees and facilities. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Provide training and development programs to enhance employee awareness of safety practices. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. Maintain records related to workplace injuries, workers’ compensation claims, and safety training. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety across all departments. Requirements At least 5 years experience in a safety management role in a transportation and/or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA and DOT regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees effectively on safety protocols. Experience in developing training programs related to occupational health and safety. Certification in EHS or related fields is preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
