Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory to lead and manage the food safety and regulatory programs of client. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food or beverage manufacturing, regulatorypliance, and team leadership to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatorypliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF or equivalent programs.
Ensurepliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, FSMA).
Lead and develop a high-performing FSQA team across multiple sites or production lines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits and inspections.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, R D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and support product innovation.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in food safety and quality.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatorypliance in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational, andmunication skills.
Prior experience working directly with USDA
Preferred Certifications:
HACCP Certification
PCQI, SQF
Practitioner, or similar food safety credentials
