Position Overview As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager , you will serve as the site’s key authority and subject matter expert in all areas of EHS. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive programs that ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence across the site. This critical leadership role reports directly to division leadership and functions as the primary liaison with Corporate EHS and external regulatory bodies. You will support a diverse and complex manufacturing environment, promoting proactive engagement with team members and reinforcing our commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute EHS strategies aligned with site goals and corporate directives, with emphasis on regulatory compliance, accident prevention, environmental performance, and continuous improvement. Lead all aspects of OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory compliance including inspections, corrective actions, and incident management. Oversee facility programs for waste minimization, energy usage reduction, and stormwater management. Manage and deliver EHS training programs across all levels of the organization, including onboarding, recurring certifications, and specialized instruction. Coordinate corporate and external EHS audits, lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the site’s primary contact for regulatory agencies and corporate EHS representatives regarding inspections, enforcement actions, and formal responses (e.g., NOVs, complaints, informal conferences). Ensure accurate, timely submission of all required EHS documentation and reporting, including EPA and OSHA records. Maintain EHS records and documentation in accordance with ISO 14001 and

ISO 45001

(or 18000) standards. Chair site committees related to environmental and occupational health initiatives; lead the site’s

ISO 14001/18000

programs where applicable. Champion the division’s recycling, ergonomics, and incident investigation programs using tools such as HumanTech Systems. Integrate EHS best practices into Lean, Human Resources, and Supply Chain initiatives. Actively engage with shop floor personnel to build trust, foster collaboration, and promote ownership of safety practices. Prepare and present reports, analysis, and recommendations to site leadership on EHS performance, metrics, and risk management strategies. Support the training and mentorship of new or developing EHS coordinators and personnel. Participate in corporate EHS councils, training events, and conferences as required. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline. Extensive experience with professional certifications may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of 3 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. OSHA , EPA

, and local environmental regulations, including stormwater management and reporting. Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs. Experience with ergonomics assessments, preferably using HumanTech Systems . Knowledge of

ISO 14001, ISO 45001

(or 18000), and EHS Management Systems. Strong data analysis skills with a continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify trends and implement preventative measures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to influencing behavior at all organizational levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS-related software tools. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or

OSHA 30/510/511.

Experience in vertical integration manufacturing environments. Familiarity with IMDS or customer-specific EHS compliance systems.
