JOB PURPOSE
The Manager, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems primary objective is the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the processes required for the QHSE Integrated Management System (IMS) in all Wing Group units and perform the required activities to ensure certification. Strives to consistently reflect company vision, values and goals in all undertakings by actively and enthusiastically assisting internal & external customers; continuously increasing personal level of expertise in the position and profession; driving continuous improvement in products, processes and systems, and demonstrating a high level of professionalism, communication and interpersonal skills.
STRUCTURE
The Manager, QHSE Management Systems reports to the Wing Group VP Corporate Quality. The Manager, QHSE Management Systems has 2 direct reports at different Wing Group facilities. Supports all departments on questions and/or issues relating to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) processes & compliance.
RESPONSIBILITY INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
(IMS) Support day-to-day operation of the IMS which includes
ISO 9001
Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and
ISO 45001
Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS). Ensure integrity and harmonization of the
QHSE IMS
across the Wing Group. Coordinate locations in establishment, implementation and maintenance of the processes necessary for the
QHSE IMS
to be effective. Coordinate locations in disclosure and implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Policy and other documents from the IMS. Support the various site QHSE Managers in establishing and revising objectives and goals. Coordinate with locations to reach QHSE objectives. Participate in the Internal and External Audit activities. Support the QHSE Managers in critical analysis area of the IMS, through revision and analysis of information from audits and QHSE performance indicators. Coordinate locations in identification and analysis of the applicable liabilities regarding Legal and other HSE requirements and ensure they are complied with. Coordinate the locations in identification and monitoring of liabilities regarding Environmental Aspects and Impacts including hazards and risks related to company activities. Coordinate and assist locations in the reporting of incidents/accidents and compiling annual required

forms, and other locations regarding required incident reporting. Coordinate and monitor locations in their preparation and implementation of established HSE programs. Help support the Service areas to ensure compliance with clients HSE training requirement. Ensure all incidents (including Near Misses) are promptly communicated and investigated, required proof is obtained and attached with the report to demonstrate compliance with internal process. Coordinate Occupational Health activities, e.g. Human Performance Examinations (HPE), Audio metric exams, Annual Respiratory FIT and Respirator Medical Exams, etc.. Promote continuous improvement of the
QHSE IMS. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years (with 5 years in a leadership role) proven successful Quality experience with clearly defined and measurable success indicators. Quality experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred, Experience and ability to lead and implement a cultural change to a business management system and a first-time right approach. Hands-on knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 required, Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management or related technical discipline.
CERTIFICATIONS ASQ
certification is a plus (CQM/OE, CQE), or willingness to pursue certification, Certified Internal Auditor, ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001, or willingness to pursue certification, Technical Course in Occupational Safety (OSHA 40-hour), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training.
