Safety Training and Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Standby Rescue Supervisor to lead safety and emergency response efforts within industrial construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring the protection of workers in high-risk environments such as refineries, power plants, and large-scale construction sites. You will oversee rescue operations, enforce safety protocols, and maintain readiness for emergencies. Key Responsibilities:

Lead standby rescue teams during industrial construction activities, including confined space entry, elevated work, and hazardous material handling. Develop and implement rescue plans tailored to industrial construction sites, adhering to OSHA and industry-specific safety standards. Conduct safety training, rescue drills, and risk assessments to prepare teams for emergencies. Collaborate with project managers and safety professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and site-specific safety requirements. Inspect and maintain rescue equipment, ensuring readiness for immediate deployment. Document incidents, prepare safety reports, and recommend enhancements to rescue and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Experienced in supervising and guiding a team to achieve goals while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Experienced in industrial construction safety, emergency response, or rescue operations. Experienced in confined space rescue, high-angle rescue, or other industrial rescue techniques (certifications preferred). Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and industrial safety protocols. Proven leadership skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive in emergencies. Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with diverse construction crews. Physical capability to perform rescue operations in challenging industrial environments including climbing, lifting and reaching.
