The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks to employees. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing effective safety measures across the organization. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents or near misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence. Provide training and support on occupational health and safety practices to all employees. Monitor workers’ compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance activities for management review. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in legislation related to workplace safety. Skills Strong knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and practices. Cooling Tower Experience Strongly preferred. Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques for incident investigation. Familiarity with workers’ compensation law and processes. Excellent report writing skills for documenting findings and recommendations. Understanding of occupational health standards and practices. Ability to fabricate solutions for improving workplace safety measures. Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines related to workplace safety. Familiarity with EPA regulations concerning environmental health standards.
