We are looking for a dedicated Division Safety Director like you tobe a part of our team.
Job Summary and QualificationsThe DivisionSafety Director is responsible for the implementation and oversightof the FacilitiGroup Regulatory and Safety Management Program forall hospitals and associated FSEDs in their division. Primary focuswill be on continuous survey readiness for the Joint CommissionEnvironment of Care and Life Safety chapters. The Division SafetyDirector will perform in-depth site assessments, review andcritique regulatory documentation, educate and assist facilities oncode-required performance and activities to ensure compliance withthe Joint Commission, OSHA, Federal EPA, State Health Agencies, andother authorities having jurisdiction. The role will partner withdivision and facility leadership, EOC teams, Division VicePresident of Quality, division facility management services, andFacilitiGroup team members. The Director shall provide strategicdirection and effective management of compliance activities forimprovement through establishment of best practices, streamlinedreporting and response processes. The director shall ensure thatthe appropriate regulatory activities are correctly tracked in HCAHealthcare’s compliance platform (Complyos) and EngineeringCentral, as well as educating relevant teams on changes to systemsand compliance code standards.
Major Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor division-wide the standardized regulatoryand safety management programs. Provide oversight to ensure each facility complies with theJoint Commission, CMS, Federal EPA, OSHA, state agency, and otherAHJ standards. Perform a physical life safety assessment at each facility andmake recommendations based on findings. Ensure regular EOC meetings are performed in a compliant mannerat all facilities in division. Implement the standardized compliance activity education andprocesses for regulatory and safety for facility management teamsfor continual survey readiness. Action plan collaborations based on survey or site visitfindings, with appropriate teams per program parameters. Review HCA Healthcare’s compliance platform database to ensuredocumentation has been uploaded for each facility. Educate and assist facilities on technology platform processesand ensure regulatory assets are up to date. Ensure all changes as a result of new construction,renovations, acquisitions and divestitures are properly reflectedin all regulatory documentation and tracking platforms. Educate facilities on ILSM, ICRA, and other constructiondocumentation practices. Develop continuing education plan to keep facility staffup-to-date on code requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission andValue Statement.”
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree, Required. Bachelors Degree, Preferred. 5+ years of experience in hospital regulatory compliance,Required. Must be willing to travel up to 75% within market. NFPA Certified Life Safety Specialist (CLSS-HC),Preferred.
