Aviation Safety Officer, Non-Ab-Initio 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Lake Nona, FL About This Role About the job Join CAE’s Civil Aviation Regional Safety team in Orlando, where you’ll play a pivotal role as an Aviation Safety Officer – Non-Ab-Initio. Our mission is to advance digital immersion through cutting-edge training and operational support solutions, fostering global safety. As part of this team, you will lead the implementation of safety management processes, transforming our safety culture to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks. You’ll oversee safety audits, driving CAE to achieve safety targets effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the Global Safety Management System to enhance safety by identifying hazards and minimizing risks. You will utilize feedback systems to address deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective actions. Additionally, you will manage and improve the Safety Management System to mitigate corporate and operational risks. Achieving Safety Performance Targets through strategic planning and safety training initiatives will be a key focus, along with mentoring center personnel to enhance safety and drive continuous improvement. Conducting annual safety audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards will also be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities Implementing the Global Safety Management System to enhance safety by identifying hazards and minimizing risks. Experience in coordinating Safety Management Systems within training organizations or airlines. Holder or previous holder of an ICAO recognized Flight Crew License to ATPL level and Type Rating Instructor Certificate. Familiarity with ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA, and other NAA regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
