Operations Manager Job Summary The Human Resources and Industrial Safety is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and environmental, health & safety management within the Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) plant. This role will ensure compliance with labor laws, develop HR policies, manage employee relations, and implement robust safety programs to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources Management:
Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and legal requirements. Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain talented employees. Facilitate employee training and development programs to enhance workforce skills and promote career progression. Manage performance evaluation processes and address employee performance issues. Act as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and impartial manner. Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to employee rights and workplace standards. Maintain and manage employee records, including payroll, benefits administration, and documentation for compliance. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with
OSHA, EPA
regulations and state laws. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Facilitate safety training programs, including new employee orientation, routine safety training, and emergency preparedness. Monitor and report on safety performance metrics; investigate incidents and accidents, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with plant management to promote a culture of safety and ensure all employees comply with safety protocols. Serve as the primary contact for safety-related concerns and regulatory inspections. • Manage environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control, and sustainability initiatives. • Maintain EHS records, documentation, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience :
A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources or safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge :
Comprehensive understanding of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices. Strong knowledge of
OSHA & EPA
regulations and industrial safety standards.
Skills :
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations and conflicts. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
