Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Site/Safety Manager with a strong background in construction management to oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with safety protocols and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Attend project handoff meetings to review scope, timelines, and objectives. Set up the job site following company guidelines and ensure all necessary preparations are in place. Conduct pre-construction and orientation meetings with subcontractors to review expectations, safety procedures, and project requirements. Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure smooth on-site operations. Oversee and manage site access, ensuring all workers have appropriate credentials, certifications, and access badges. Prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, safety checklists, and updates to as-built drawings. Monitor site safety, enforce compliance with safety protocols, and promptly report and address any incidents. Schedule and manage inspections, ensuring compliance with local codes and project specifications. Review and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) and address issues that arise during construction. Track and document material deliveries, ensuring proper storage and handling on-site. Maintain organized site records, including logs, binders, and digital documentation. Update and manage project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors to meet milestones and deadlines. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and contract specifications. Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and obtaining certificates of occupancy. Travel to building sites as required, with frequent overnight and weekend travel required for project oversight and meetings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., RedTeam, Procore, or similar). Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. OSHA certification (OSHA30) or other relevant safety training is preferred. PMP, CCM or CSM is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Field personnel on construction project teams should expect 60-hour workweeks, with a minimum of 5 days a week and 8 hours per day, including weekends. Travel home is typically every other week, but can shift to every third week depending on project needs. During the final month and a half of a project, it’s common to remain on-site and take extra time off after completion. Experience Proven experience as a Site Manager/Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar role in the construction industry. Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout. Strong understanding with construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards. Proven experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure project milestones are achieved. Strong track record of maintaining compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. Proficiency in using construction management software (e.g., Procore, RedTeam, or similar tools). History of successfully managing project documentation, schedules, and on-site resources to meet deadlines.
