Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Quality Systems Manager in Macon, GA. In this management role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and implementing food safety, Quality Assurance, food safety training and sanitation activities. In a Quality Systems Manger job you’ll be responsible for: Managing the food safety and quality assurance functions, as defined by company policy, acting as the SQF Practitioner, including a lead role in Crisis Management.
Coordinating with sales, operations and the R D function to assist the development and implementation of new products, process and product improvements and cost savings initiatives. Concerting with sales, and operation, prepare and maintain ingredient and finished product specifications, including supplier approvals and associated document control.
Charing the Food Safety/HACCP Team and along with the other members assure that root cause analysis and corrective actions, as defined by HACCP team, are completed. Establishing and implementing the training function for food safety and other related programs to employees, contractors and suppliers. Directing the activities of the Sanitation Department,
Along with Operations, approving and ordering supplies, equipment and ingredients.
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
Responding to customer and issues, providing input for corrective and preventive actions to the HACCP Team.
Managing third party food safety audit program to meet customer and corporate needs. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in food science or related experience.
MUST have experience in good industry, with quality supervisory background.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross functional situations, Ability to travel on a limited basis.

Competitive salary at $80,000 a year.
First shift hours Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
