Eagle Systems, Inc. is seeking a bright, creative, goal-oriented, high energy and hardworking individual to join our team as the Director of Safety. This successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be flexible and work well with all levels of the partners in our organization. The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization is one of the keys to success in this role. We are a Carrier with 300+ Independent Contractors and Broker Partners across the United States.
Requirements:
The Director of Safety must be able to develop, implement and maintain safety programs to ensure the well-being of all members of our team, vendor partners and Independent Contractor partners. At a high-level we expect the Director of Safety to ensure compliance through reporting and maintaining safety data all while promoting a safety culture that drives the long-term success of our company. Qualifications and Requirements Certified Director of Fleet Safety(CDS) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations including CSA. Must have a successful track record of effectively working and communicating with senior management to develop programs and criteria to remain at the highest level of DOT compliance and safe operations. Must be able to analyze essential
DOT/FMCSA
metrics and develop recommendations for improved metrics. Extensive experience with driver recruitment; including discipline, training, hours of service compliance and risk management. Strong leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively with all groups within our organization. Proficient computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize projects and duties with exceptional follow though skills. Ability to build successful partnerships with Independent Contractor fleet of partners. Ability to manage and lead a team of safety and fleet administrators who also support all field operations. Willing to travel to all terminal locations at least one time per year.
