We are the Southeast’s largest and most experienced Erosion Control contractor, offering various clients comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up/control services. The Safety Director Assistant is a crucial contributor to the success of TEC. They take ownership in support of the Safety Field Performance department. They will work closely with all levels of the organization and must ensure the overall commitment to excellence, customer service, and quality that is key to TEC s Success. Assist the Safety Director with the following job responsibilities: Following safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Making sure that equipment is working correctly, inspecting machinery for defects, and ordering repairs as needed. Observing work areas for unsafe conditions and taking appropriate action to correct the issue. Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety procedures, rules, and regulations Educating employees about safety rules and regulations, equipment usage, and accident prevention techniques Preparing workers for emergencies by conducting fire drills and evacuation simulations Maintaining records of accidents, injuries, and near misses to help prevent future incidents. Training new workers in safety procedures and performing routine inspections to ensure compliance. Conduct onsite safety audits daily. Assist with injury/accident investigations. Assist with onsite-specific safety training. Assist as a liaison for the field crews to HR. Assist AQMs in the operation function. Obtain and set up Temp staffing agencies for field labor needs. With the flexibility to take on more assignments
Minimum Requirements:
2 Year Associate Degree Strong computer skills, MS Office suite 2 years experience in a construction or related field
