Transportation, Logistics, Trucking Description Overview We are looking for a driven multi-site experienced Safety Training Manager with a demonstrated history of success in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety and training programs. This person will need to reside in Elwood, IL or Kennesaw, GA and the role will require about 50% travel among the sites aligned in this area. This pivotal role focuses on cultivating safe and compliant work environments through effective training initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in OSHA regulations, coupled with strong leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills. They will also have a solid background in occupational health and safety, with a particular emphasis on leading training programs that prioritize regulatory compliance. The Network Training and Safety Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement for EHS training.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule for this position is a 1st shift Monday-Friday role that will require occasional availability before and after scheduled shifts for any emergencies or operational needs

Travel:

50% and will include travel for sites between Elwood, IL and Kennesaw, GA. Our selected candidate can live in either area

Competitive Total Rewards Package:

We offer a competitive salary of $87,000-$122,000, plus a performance-based yearly bonus, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company matching, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. This role is posted in Elwood, IL and Atlanta, GA. We are only hiring for 1 position.

Key Responsibilities Training :

Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees at all levels on safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and workplace best practices.

Job Hazard Analysis :

Review and observe tasks that are involved in the everyday operational responsibilities of all employees. Determine requirement levels of PPE, ergonomics, likelihood of sprains and strains, and the document findings.

Safety Program Development :

Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.

Risk Assessment :

Perform regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Incident Investigation :

Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Compliance Monitoring :

Monitor and ensure company-wide compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety laws and standards.

Reporting :

Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on safety inspections, audits, training activities, and incidents.

Emergency Response :

Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training sessions.

Policy Development :

Update and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively across the organization.

Employee Engagement :

Promote a culture of safety through continuous communication, training, and engagement with all employees.

Continuous Improvement :

Stay up-to-date with the latest OSHA regulations and industry best practices and incorporate them into the company’s safety programs.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma combined with substantial relevant work experience will be considered. 5 years in a safety management role with multi-site and multi-state safety responsibility, with a strong emphasis on OSHA compliance, risk mitigation, and training program development within a warehouse, distribution center, and or 3PL industry. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, safety codes, and industry best practices. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform physical site inspections, navigate warehouse and industrial environments, and respond promptly to emergency situations. Willingness to travel 50% or more, based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OSHA 30-Hour are also preferred.
