Job Description
We’re looking for an Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) Manager to join our organization! This role will be the head of EHSS in the US and provide oversight to facilities in Buford, GA, Lakeland, FL, and Claremont, CA. In this role, you will develop and implement policies and procedures, perform routine inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and oversee our US worker’s compensation program. You will establish, drive and maintain a world class safety culture in partnership with site leaders and champion continuous improvement, awareness, and accountability. This role will be a full-time, 100% onsite position at our Buford, GA site. What we’re looking for:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required.
Experience:
8+ years of relevant work experience which includes safety, workers compensation AND sustainability. Strong leadership, decision-making and analytical skills Organizational skills required to prioritize work and meet deadlines Working knowledge of industrial hygiene analysis and best practices as well as medical monitoring programs Strong computer application skills and proficiency (Microsoft Office) Excellent interpersonal skill, including strong oral and written communication skills Must have a strong working knowledge of operational and technical issues and concepts How you will thrive and create an impact Implement the strategies necessary to minimize the number of occupational injuries and illnesses Work closely with the Human Resources and Legal to drive down workers’ compensation claims costs and reduce workers’ compensation exposure Complete incident investigation and analysis and performs site hazard assessments Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics Conduct and coordinate regulatory compliance audits, ensuring the appropriate actions are taken to resolve audit findings, including implementing programs that prevent future recurrence Develop sustainability related initiatives including but not limited to the reduction of natural resource usage and the minimization of waste Manage hazardous waste programs and ensure that hazardous waste is stored and transported in accordance with applicable rules, including ensuring that associates who handle hazardous waste are properly trained Work with various stakeholders to establish contingency plans that address potential emergencies including hazardous materials spills, fires, evacuations, labor interruption and other potential business interruptions Performs other duties as assigned We offer a competitive base salary plus bonus, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401K plan with company match, PTO, pet insurance, and more!
