_As the EHS Program Manager, you will be responsible for the company’s successful environmental, health, and safety program and growth. You will efficiently implement, support, and facilitate an Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) management system and programs designed to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements (federal, state, local) and establish an EHS culture as a part of our zero-incident culture_

  • Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with corporate EHS requirements and corporate strategy, create and implement an EHS strategy and management system following the site’s
ISO 14001/45001

structure to drive improvements in all key areas Build a healthy, sustainable EHS culture through relationship building, communication, teamwork, and risk mitigation Focus on safety and health as well as environmental initiatives – building and driving new programs/systems, create and implement further training and related activities for the facility Develop needed procedures for all safety, health, and environmental programs and systems, adopting group procedures as a minimum standard Ensure procedural requirements are understood and followed by site personnel Build detailed knowledge of site operations, risks, and regulatory applicability Participate in site operations meetings, plans, and programs to ensure EHS risks are proactively understood and addressed Manage site EHS training (regulatory, company requirements, and risk-based) program Ensure a comprehensive training matrix and training plan are developed and maintained Develop and deliver appropriate training content aligned with the regulator, company, and risk-based requirements Determine the need for industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring (air, noise, heat stress, etc.) and compare them to established regulatory limits Create and disseminate EHS metrics Provide information as necessary to manage the Risk Management Department as required Ensure controls are implemented to address risk and non-compliance Conduct EHS audits, risk assessments, self-assessments and report results regularly Train others to audit/assess critical areas Identify, make recommendations, and correct any unsafe conditions within the company and own the documentation process Manage and collaborate with management on all enforcement actions, notices of violation, informal settlement agreements, administrative orders, and permit agreements Identify, develop, and submit all required reports to local, state, and federal government, environmental, and health and safety agencies Interact with

OSHA/EPA/EPD

regarding formal complaints and inspections Manage all activities related to outside governmental agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations Advise senior management on the compliance status, costs, and technical improvements needed to achieve compliance Participate in appropriately detailed accident/incident investigations and the development of recommendations/actions to prevent a recurrence Work closely with the EHS Field Manager and HR to provide adequate reporting and ensure the site responds to and reports all workplace injuries and near misses promptly to management as appropriate and governmental agencies when required Stay updated with the latest trends in health and safety and environmental protection while being consistent and proactive regarding implementing these practices in the workplace Be committed to “all things well-being and safety” to maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and ensure that every staff member complies with the regulated standards

  • Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to develop and implement health and safety programs Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, and other relevant safety regulations Demonstrated ability to conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and engage employees at all levels Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions Experience in delivering safety training programs and maintaining compliance records Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Willingness to work in an industrial environment with exposure to varying temperatures and physical demands Ability to travel within the facility and attend occasional off-site training or meetings as needed Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively influence others at all organization levels effectively Willingness to take personal responsibility •Must be authorized to work in the United States, client is not able to offer sponsorship at this time•Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check•_We are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
