The position requires ensuring regulatory compliance related to lead hazard control while overseeing lead testing in client homes. This work involves meeting with property owners, tenants, LCG staff, and contractors, as well as forming new partnerships and collaborating with existing partners and stakeholder to support lead hazard reduction efforts. The incumbent is responsible for managing the scheduling of lead remediation activities in client homes, following public procurements processes to enter agreements with lead remediation contractors. Additional responsibilities included scheduling and attending training programs to stay informed on State and Federal lead hazard control regulations, developing and promoting education materials and outreach efforts targeting underserved communities, and supervising the Lead Outreach Intake Specialist.
Duties :
Assists with all aspects of the Lead Capacity Building Grant, including managing lead testing and remediation efforts, coordinating staff training, and conducting community outreach. Utilize project management software to track progress, manage resources, and facilitate communication among stakeholders. Develop and implement plans to align with organizational goals and project requirements. Supervises the Lead Outreach Intake Specialist supporting program activities. Prepares reports on program accomplishments, financial progress, and compliance with grant requirements. Performs related work as required. Conduct regular meetings to review capacity metrics, discuss challenges, and propose solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project scheduling and resource allocation. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables. Meets with property owners, tenants, contractors, and local government staff to coordinate lead remediation activities and secure necessary agreements with lead hazards and lead hazard reduction efforts in underserved communities. Maintain documentation on capacity planning processes for easy access and collaboration. Experience Proven experience in capacity management or a related field. Considerable knowledge of construction methods and materials Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and ordinance governing the activities of building codes and construction methods, including all State and Federal lead-based paint regulations. Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools. Experience with meeting facilitation and stakeholder engagement. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on capacity metrics. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
INECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION
Must be approved by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) as a Lead-based Paint Inspector within six months of employment.
