We’re looking for an experienced EHSQ Manager join our client’s team at their manufacturing site located in the Greater New Orleans area. Position Summary The EHSQ Manager will be responsible for performing Health and Safety responsibilities for the purpose of ensuring the chemical manufacturing plant is in compliance with applicable OSHA regulations. Will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of activities related to the company’s health, safety, and environmental programs. This is a working leadership role, and hence it is expected to be a contributing member of the team. The position has ownership for understanding federal regulations and related compliance activities. This role focuses on providing Environmental, Health, and Safety support and knowledge to develop, implement, and improve safety systems and programs. Roles and Responsibilities Promote a proactive culture as a facilitator, educator, and customer service resource. Developing and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures that will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Correcting working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and safety standards, develops loss control programs, and devises methods to evaluate safety progresses. Serving as the interface between local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, corporate and any insurance carrier representatives to ensure plant compliance. Managing plant’s environmental and OSHA regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements. Creating and managing budgets for EHS activities including consulting and testing, waste removal, safety equipment, safety recognition activities, etc. Leading investigations on environmental non-compliance, safety non-compliance, and root cause incidents and responding to operational issues. Interpret federal, state, and local rules and their interrelationships to the plant. Execute and manage Contractor Compliance Program. Responsible for any health and safety tasks that may be assigned to manage department workload and site health and safety compliance. Develop and drive a high-level quality strategy for the manufacturing site to facilitate compliance to ISO, QMS and customer requirements. Work with plant/facility personnel to develop best practices and replicate throughout organization. Interface with supplier quality management Interact with customer QA/QC representatives and participate in customer audits. Coordinate Manufacturing Corrective Action Boards and root cause investigations as needed. Coach and mentor others involved in health and safety activities, including OSHA and other regulatory training. Perform routine on-site internal audits/inspections and lead resolutions for any deviations discovered. Drive corrective actions from incident investigations and external/internal site audits/inspections to closure. Lead or participate in teams to improve safety standards within the organization and other external commitments. Lead the emergency response team and manage emergency response program. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in related science field or chemical engineering 5+ years Health and Safety related experience 5 years of experience in Manufacturing support and Quality Management. 4 years of experience in Quality Control or Analytical Lab. Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations Must have good interpersonal skills, work well with others. Must have good verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Must have good time management and organizational skills. Must be a quicker learner, self-motivated, and dependable. Must be detailed and results oriented and a problem solver. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint (e.g., Office365) General knowledge of emergency response Working knowledge of

ISO 9001.

Business Travel up to 10%. Standard working hours with on-call responsibilities. Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
