Responsible for working with security team to provide a safe andsecure living and working environment for students and staff.
Supervises security details and uses proper judgment and discretionto resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Conductsinvestigations of accidents and incidents with the goal ofresolution and reduction of future occurrences. May superviseSafety & Security staff and serve as Acting Safety & SecuritySupervisor. o Assists Safety & Security Department maintain a safeand secure Center environment. o Ensures Center compliance with PRHand OSHA safety and health requirements. o Complies withDOL/Company reporting requirements. o Participates in student/staffsafety awards program. o Compiles, analyzes and summarizessafety/security data and takes appropriate actions to resolveissues and concerns. o Coordinates staff coverage to ensure studentareas are supervised. o Ensures all staff adhere to rest and mealbreak requirements. o Conducts and documents Center-wide safety andaccident prevention training. o Conducts and documents incident andaccident investigations per established timelines and requirements.o Ensures Center compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corpsand Company safety directives and requirements. o Conducts routinesafety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment andfacilities to identify potential safety and security hazards. oResponsible for Center security, visitor control and studentaccountability. o Ensures compliance with the Center’sEnvironmental Health Program. o Produces quality work/assignmentsin a thorough, timely and accurate manner. o Maintains appropriatepersonal attendance, accountability and work productivitystandards. o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meetestablished goals and deadlines. o Understands and applies jobknowledge to effectively complete all required jobresponsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required toperform job duties. o Mentors, monitors and models the CareerSuccess Standards as required by the PRH. o Provides high-qualitysupervision and management for the student population andpositively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesyto students and holds them accountable for their actions andbehavior.
Operational Support:
Provides timely operational supportfor Center operations to ensure quality programs and services.
Pursues improvement in Center operations to fulfill programobjectives. o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and inwriting, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfullyto group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Providesquality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested. oEffectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems,analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to takingor recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriateaction and that problems are in fact corrected. o Works inpartnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effectivesupervision and services are provided to students. o Acceptsdirection and supervision from the Center Director/Center DutyOfficer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily performjob responsibilities of other departments and positions. o Otherduties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma orequivalent required. A minimum of one-year experience in military,law enforcement or security required.
