Role:

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuringemployee adherence to company safety policies and procedures. Thisposition supports projects throughout designated geographicallocations. Essential Functions Manage on-going safetyprogram Work with Operations to ensure proper safety staffingVerify fieldwork compliance with federal, state and localregulations, company policy, and industry best practices Audit andprovide meaningful feedback, leadership, and guidance to safetyengineers Coordinate cross-training and conduct training asnecessary Assist management with methods to improve safetypractices and procedures Conduct and report on advance notice andno-notice inspections, surveys, and evaluations Receive, review,and participate with the development of accident briefs,safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports Providetechnical and professional assistance to eliminate or controlunsafe behavior and environmental factors Provide progress reportson safety activities, safety reports, and safety studies Regularand predictable attendance Essential functions of this position areto be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conductand Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethicalconduct standards, if applicable Other duties as assigned ???????

About You:

Qualifications Experience with OSHA record keeping,reporting and Method of Procedure (MOP) writing Experience in jobhazard & safety analysis within the transmission and distributionindustry Experience in the field of transmission and distributionline construction Management experience within a safety role Safetyor related technical undergraduate degree (such as CSP) Safetyrelated credentials (e.g., OSHA 501, OTI certifications, etc.)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Experience with Risk ManagementEffective communicator Strong written and oral communication skillsReliable and punctual Self-starter and team player Positiveattitude Valid driver’s license Knowledge of utility andconstruction safety programs

OSHA/DOT

related experience OSHA 10,30, and 500 (Train the Trainer) Certified Basic computer and typingskills Knowledge of OSP (OSHA Strategic Partnership)
