Role and Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate repairs for equipment flagged with Vehicle Maintenance Violations during inspections. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all equipment, ensuring compliance and updating the maintenance file for each asset. Submit inspection document verification back to the inspecting state within the required timeframe. Maintain and organize inspection records for all equipment inspections received by Western Express. Ensure equipment in safety technology portals is accurate and reporting correctly. Collaborate with the Safety Team (Safety Managers and Driver Training) to analyze data trends and address issues through ongoing training and driver monitoring. Work closely with the Maintenance Department to ensure timely repairs and provide data to inform future campaigns or processes. Act as a liaison between the Maintenance and Safety departments to ensure effective communication and action. Monitor violation trends and collaborate with Safety and Maintenance teams to address these issues through targeted programs.

Position Goals and KPIs:

Enhance processes, efficiency, and compliance in preparation for FMCSA audits. Improve the Vehicle Maintenance CSA score by monitoring equipment maintenance and working with the Safety and Maintenance teams to address violation trends.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and maintenance systems. Ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational goals.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Familiarity with internal software platforms (e.g., AS400, Tenstreet, Sequel, TMT). Highly organized with the ability to track repairs and ensure regulatory compliance for inspections.
