In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining a safe workplace for our employees and clients. The Safety Manager will be responsible for executing and enhancing LACOSTA’s safety systems and processes within our customer site to ensure a safe working environment at our large-scale food manufacturing site. This role will focus on proactive safety measures, compliance with industry standards, and fostering a strong safety culture among all employees. Responsibilities Develop and implement safety training programs for employees. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Prepare safety reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies. Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety across all departments. Provide first aid and CPR training as needed to staff members. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to occupational health and safety.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety leadership role within the manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.

Proactive and detail-oriented approach to safety management. Ability to lead and influence others to prioritize safety. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
