This is a Job Description for an HSE & Training Representative in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Summary:
As an HSE Representative reporting to the Plant Manager, you will confer and cooperate with management personnel with OSHA standards and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for obtaining safety goals for each facility and company goals. Prepares recommendations on findings for management evaluation. Recommends and signs off on acquisition of new equipment (Safety requirements only). Ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Ensures compliance with
OSHA/TOSHA
standards, legal codes, fire codes, and local regulations. Ensures compliance with EPA regulations, as required. Worker’s Compensation Administrator including reporting results, monitoring costs, and coordinating with Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator. Record keeping for all OSHA/TOSHA, worker’s compensation, and training documentation. Development and facilitation of plant Safety Committee and Responder Teams. Administration of Emergency Response plans for all facilities. Requirementsand Qualifications[]{#_Hlk142289191}[]{#_Hlk142304825}:
Bachelor’s Degree in safety related field preferred, or related work experience equivalent. Certification in industrial safety should be obtained within two (2) years of placement in this position. Must be able to facilitate meetings. Must have strong administrative and presentation skills. Knowledgeable in use of spreadsheets (Excel) processing (Word) software, and Lotus Notes a must.
