Oversees company check airmen and APDs. Serves as the technical advisor to the POI on assigned areas of the company’s training and testing programs. Coordines technical instructions, policy orders, and procedures through the POI to assure uniformity of training and testing activities. Conducts enforcement investigions and prepares final reports and recommendions on disposition. Performs or assists in the emergency suspension of airmen certifices. Conducts re-examinion of certificed airmen. Conducts investigions of public complaints, congressional inquiries, and aircraft incidents and accidents. Recommends the designion of APDs and pilot examiners. Responsible for the conduct of ATP flight tests, additional type rings, and Flight Engineer (F/E) certificion; PIC, SIC, and F/E proficiency tests; SIC and F/E initial qualificion tests, and Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) Evalues training programs to ensure they meet the requirements of the FARs. Approves or disapproves these training programs including flight simulors, training devices, or other such equipment used in these programs. May require amendments to previously approved manuals to accomplish the following: correct any conflict with regulory requirements; elimine unsafe practices; and/or improve the specificity of instruction. Participes in the FAA flight program to maintain qualificion and currency requirements applicable to operions inspectors, for the purpose of supporting the FAA in a variety of flight-reled functions to include training and evaluion of designed pilot examiners.
