Hours:
8:00 pm until 4:30 am Sunday through Thursday Key Responsibilities Essential Job Duties Records SSOPs performed and ensures department is following sanitation schedule. Assists workers with SSOPs and provides guidance when needed. Maintains employee time and sanitation records. Orders chemicals and supplies as needed for department. Clean and sanitizes all production equipment in compliance with FDA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations and documents such. Supervises the activities of the sanitation staff, including building custodian. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Adheres to company Policy and Procedures. Performs duties as workload necessitates. Maintains a positive and respectful attitude. Scope of Responsibility This job will have periodic access to confidential data including company records, customer quotes, and product costs. Directly supervises non-supervisory and supervisory employees in the sanitation department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and supervising and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This job follows standard practices and procedures and is expected to accomplish work assignments with a limited amount of supervision. Physical Demands The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Work Environment Work is performed in a production environment and disruptions occur frequently. Hot and wet environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervisory experience required. Prior sanitation/janitorial operations experience required.
