- Job Description
- The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) – Level 1 shall have full oversight of the safety program initiatives at CMI’s customer site in Wilmington, NC.
- Key Job Functions
- + Oversight and implementation of the Accident Prevention Plan + Prepare and enforce the client safety program + Conduct personnel and equipment inspections daily + Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite + Conduct mishap investigations + Maintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsite + Attend pre-construction conference, pre- work meetings, and three phase inspection meetings + Other safety related duties as required by the contract •Qualifications•+ Bachelors Degree in related field + At least (5) five years of cumulative safety experience within the past 10 years, managing or implementing a SOH program on a project of similar type, size and complexity as CMI’s customer project.
+ Current OSHA 30-hour general industry or construction safety training + 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) -related training within the past 5 years + Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English to effectively perform these job functions and comply with installation emergency procedures
