This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.), promotes a strong safety culture, and implements systems that protect people, property, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific HSE policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive action plans. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend controls. Develop and deliver safety training programs (lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fall protection, etc.). Manage hazardous materials and waste in compliance with environmental standards. Maintain required safety documentation, including SDSs, training records, and incident reports. Serve as the site’s primary contact for regulatory inspections and reporting. Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance through metrics and employee engagement. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate safety into all processes. Lead emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response coordination. Some off-shift or weekend availability may be required for incident response or audits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5-7 years of HSE experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and industry best practices.

Certification preferred:

CSP, CHMM, or equivalent. Strong communication, leadership, and training skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management software. Join us in our commitment to maintaining a safe workplace where employees can thrive!
