Who We’re Looking For:

The Senior Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization’s environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability programs across its global operations. This role ensures compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations while fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will lead a global team of EHS professionals, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and drive initiatives to mitigate risks and promote sustainable practices worldwide

Role:
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement global EHS and Sustainability strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory and reporting compliance and alignment with organizational objectives

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of EHS and Sustainability professionals across multiple regions, ensuring consistent standards and providing opportunities for professional growth

Risk Management:

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement proactive strategies to mitigate environmental, health, safety, security and sustainability risks

Incident Oversight:

Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions to enhance safety and prevent recurrence

Training & Development:

Design and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees at all levels on EHS systems and their responsibilities and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with departments such as Operations, Legal, Research and Development, Supply Chain, and HR to integrate EHS and Sustainability considerations into business processes and decision-making and establish networks within the sites to communicate and share best practices

Performance Monitoring:

Identify, track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, ensuring timely and accurate communication to senior leadership and regulatory bodies, as required

Regulatory Awareness:

Stay informed of emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices, adapting the organization’s programs to remain ahead of compliance requirements

Stakeholder Engagement:

Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholders to promote EHS excellence

Audit Readiness:

Ensure readiness for EHS Audits and any 3rd party audits of

EHS Management Systems Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. / B.A.

in related EHS/Technical discipline
10+ years of experience working in environmental health and safety management within manufacturing and distribution centers; extensive knowledge EHS regulations, Sustainability reporting, best practices and EHS management systems.
Must be a solution-oriented team player who can lead a team and working collaboratively across multiple sites, regions, and functions.
Working knowledge of ISO and OSHA standards
Microsoft Office proficient and demonstrate organization and communication skills, written and oral.
