Job Description
Senior Managers, Safety, Health and Environmental (Plainsboro, NJ) Drive and operationalize the group Safety, Health and Environmental (“SHE”) strategy in close collaboration with the sites, Regional SHE Leads and Business Unit SHE Leads. Represent SHE functions and develop SHE leadership and capabilities in the subregion. Drive cross site learning and SHE improvement initiatives. Monitor site SHE & Security performance (leading + lagging) and advise management. Pursue SHE synergy in the region regarding actions, programs and resources, e.g., ensure that regular compliance checks at site level are performed. Drive incident management, investigation, learnings, communication in order to maximize learning and prevent recurrence. Up to 40% domestic travel for site inspections, audits, support with SHE management system implementation, and incident investigation. Flex work schedule available.
Base annual salary:
$159,502.50. The salary or hourly wage provided reflects the expected pay for a successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements. Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or one of the SHE disciplines (Safety, Health, and Environmental applied sciences), as well as 2 years of SHE experience.
All qualifying experience must include:
process safety (including machine guarding, process hazard analysis, and chemical assessments); industrial hygiene (including ergonomic assessment, chemical exposure, and noise exposure); management systems (including
ISO 45001
); translating and setting standards for manufacturing sites; expert auditing and incident investigation experience; and, demonstrated success communicating SHE concerns to management.
