Job Description:

The EHS Lead is responsible for directing the development, implementation, and evaluation of critical processes, programs, and procedures to achieve goals, objectives, and continuous improvement related to health and safety.

EHS Lead Responsibilities:

Assess site safety controls and develop a strategic and tactical plan to achieve target safety performance.
Coach and mentor plant personnel and leadership to build safety capabilities and leadership skills.
Develop and implement effective safety training programs in coordination with plant staff.
Reinforce the organization’s safety culture and recognize employee safety contributions.
Lead safety training, workshops, and design reviews to enhance risk reduction and support safe capital project planning.
Analyze safety data, conduct thorough incident investigations, and drive corrective action planning.
Drive ergonomics and wellness initiatives to reduce injuries and support employee well-being.

EHS Lead Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required. Degree in any field related to EH&S, such as industrial hygiene, engineering, science or equivalent is preferred.
At least 3 years safety leadership experience required. Floor experience is highly desired.
Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and industrial hygiene protocols.
Ability to identify critical processes and system needs and then implement appropriately prioritized action plans.
