Housing Health & Safety Supervisor 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 630 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206 Position Overview CABS Health Network is seeking a mission-driven and experienced Housing Health & Safety Supervisor to lead our Home Remediation Program. This individual will oversee home accessibility modifications, mold and pest remediation, and ventilation system improvements to promote safe, healthy, and independent living environments for Medicaid members. The ideal candidate brings a combination of construction experience, environmental health knowledge, and regulatory compliance skills, coupled with a passion for health equity and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution Supervise home modifications, environmental remediation, and equipment installations (ACs, dehumidifiers, etc.). Manage vendor and contractor performance to ensure timely, high-quality work. Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines in accordance with Medicaid and safety regulations. Ensure all modifications align with client needs and health-focused outcomes. Dwelling Assessment & Compliance Conduct home assessments to identify safety, accessibility, and environmental health risks. Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and ensure all necessary documentation is collected, including medical necessity letters. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and Medicaid requirements, including documentation standards. Quality Control & Reporting Implement a Quality Management System (QMS) to monitor performance and ensure corrective actions. Conduct post-project inspections to verify work completion and compliance. Maintain organized, accurate records of housing conditions, services provided, and remediation outcomes. Stakeholder Coordination Collaborate with Social Care Navigators, healthcare providers, and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate project status, challenges, and updates with internal and external stakeholders. Provide training to team members and vendors on health and safety standards in home settings. Qualifications & Skills Associate (Required) and Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction, home modifications, or environmental health. Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA standards, and housing-based health hazards. Familiarity with Medicaid programs, care management models, and home- and community-based services (HCBS) is a plus.
Preferred certifications:
Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) Certified Mold Remediation Specialist (CMRS) OSHA 30-Hour Certification (Construction or General Industry) Lead-Safe Work Practices or EPA RRP Certification Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Cultural sensitivity and experience working with low-income, diverse populations.

$75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
