We are seekinga Permanent Safety Manager who is passionate about creating andmaintaining a safe and healthy work environment. This role willoversee all safety protocols and procedures across theorganization, ensuring all operations comply with local, state, andfederal regulations. The Safety Manager will develop and implementsafety training programs, conduct accident investigations, andmanage all safety-related issues. This is an excellent opportunityfor an experienced professional to make a significant impact on ourcompany’s overall safety culture.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop andimplement comprehensive safety programs that meet regulatoryrequirements and promote a culture of safety within theorganization. 2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits toidentify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safetystandards. 3. Lead accident investigations, identifying rootcauses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.4. Provide safety training and development programs for allemployees, ensuring they understand and follow all safetyprocedures. 5. Collaborate with management to develop strategicsafety plans, set safety goals, and monitor performance. 6.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industrypractices, ensuring the company is always in compliance. 7. Prepareand present safety reports and statistical data to management,identifying trends and recommending improvements. 8. Manage thecompany’s driver training program, ensuring all drivers meetnecessary safety requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degreein safety management, industrial hygiene, or a related field. 2. Aminimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, includingdriver training, safety management, training and development, andaccident investigation. 3. Extensive knowledge of local, state, andfederal safety regulations and industry best practices. 4. Strongleadership skills with the ability to influence and engage othersin safety initiatives. 5. Excellent communication skills, bothwritten and verbal, with the ability to present complex safetyinformation in a clear and understandable manner. 6. Stronganalytical skills with the ability to identify safety trends anddevelop effective safety strategies. 7. Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite and other safety management software. 8. Must possessa valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
