Construction Safety Assistant 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Charleston, SC 29406 We are currently interviewing experienced Construction Safety Professionals to maintain and coordinate Safety and Health procedures on construction projects in the Charleston area. You will report directly to the Senior Safety and Project Manager. You must have a minimum of an OSHA 30 Hour Training card and 2 years of in the field construction safety management experience.

DUTIES INCLUDE

Maintain ethics and professionalism in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of the position. Enforce the Construction Manager and/or General Contractor Site Specific Safety Program in conjunction with applicable OSHA’s standards for construction Inspect the job site on a day-to-day basis, and complete proper weekly and daily inspections. Ensure construction equipment is maintained and operated safely. Ensure that job-specific safety procedures are prepared as required for all jobs involving safety risks and ensure that all supervisors and workers involved understand and follow the procedures. Assist Foremen/Superintendents with the daily Pre-Task-Plan procedures. Conduct and document Safety Orientation for all new employees. Prepare Safety Meeting Tool Box Talks and/or conduct training to ensure that employees are familiar with specific work site hazards and safe work practices.
