Full Job Description Field Safety Supervisor Main Industries Charleston, SC Branch Description:

Main Industries has been serving the marine and industrial market for over 40 years. Beginning as a premiere marine coatings company, Main has grown into a multi-craft industry leader in marine and industrial scaffolding and access in addition to its decades of experience in surface prep and coatings for the marine, industrial, and government sectors. Main is hiring for a full-time field, industrial and shipyard/marine, safety supervisor in our Charleston, SC branch. No relocation or per diem available. Position reports to the Safety Manager. The field safety supervisor’s responsibilities include: Enforcement of company specific, client specific, and OSHA specific safety policies at the field level Conducting tool box safety training and collecting and maintaining documentation of training Perform workplace safety inspections at the field level Conduct, document, and maintain documentation of incident investigations Assist the safety manager with new hire orientation Maintain and document the maintenance of safety equipment After being designated a Competent Person, perform CP duties industrial and shipyard/marine

Charleston, SC Required experience: Must be 18 years’ old Must be US Citizen Experience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heights Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient writing skills using proper English grammar Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality Maintain a professional demeanor All candidates must submit to drug testing and E-Verification of their right to work in the US A criminal background check may be required Current TWIC badge a plus Reliable transportation a must
