Month Contract Location:

Columbia, SC. Build Safety. Build Legacy. Gilchrist Safety Solutions is hiring a dedicated Construction Safety Manager for an 18-month, full-time contract assignment in Columbia, SC. This is a high-impact role where your leadership will directly shape job site safety culture and performance. Per diem is not authorized for this contract. Possible gas allowance for commuting, local candidates preferred.

What You’ll Do:

Ensure full compliance with

OSHA 29 CFR

1926 and site-specific EHS requirements. Conduct job site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to proactively identify and resolve hazards. Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture . Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions. Assist with investigations, incident reporting, and root cause analysis. Monitor project-wide compliance involving metal framing and vertical construction techniques . Deliver safety reports and metrics to client and internal leadership.

What You Bring:

Minimum 5 years of safety management experience on construction job sites (industrial/manufacturing/pharma experience is a plus).

OSHA 510

Certification (required) and CHST Certification (required). Proven experience managing large, multi-trade construction environments . Strong working knowledge of workers’ compensation , health & environmental regulations. CPR/First Aid certification required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
