Summary We are seeking a Field Safety Manager to join our team at Waccamaw Transport. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining our commitment to safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities

• Support company efforts to ensure adherence to all safety programs and goals.
• Make sure drivers operate within OSHA and FMCSA Regulations
• On call 24hrs a day to respond to spills or accidents in your coverage area.
• Meet with senior management as needed to discuss results and offer recommended solutions.
• Adhere strictly to guidelines and/or instructions provided by senior management.
• Evaluate driver trainers and their methods of training.
• Conduct training observations and/or ride alongs with new drivers that are coming out of training.
• Conduct training observations and/or ride alongs with existing drivers that are having problems with their job duties.
• Coach/Discipline drivers that fail to meet company safety standards.
• Must sign off on any driver that is finishing pump load training.
• Provide periodic group training sessions on various aspects of daily duties (i.e. pre-trip inspections, pump load training, etc…)
• Must be able to travel to outer regions up to 2 weeks per month.
• Must become a resident expert in various on-board systems (Samsara, Bendix, etc…)
• Provide Driver Scorecard reports to each driver in your region on a monthly basis.
• Make sure proper tank sizes are on record for driver deliveries.
• Analyze and provide feedback on existing policies and procedures relating to driver duties.
• Provide input on disciplinary actions resulting from driver error.

Provide site inspections and recon for new locations. Qualifications 8+ Years of commercial driving experience Great Safety Record Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the transportation industry Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights for improving safety practices.
